What is a Sigil?  A Sigil is a magickal symbol, you create, to represent a specific idea or intention.  In today’s world it’s like a business logo, only for magical purposes! I learned how to create them and use them about 3 years ago into my practice and I love it. Some examples of how I have used them are as follows…I created a Sigil to protect my health during Covid. I created a Sigil and carried it everywhere with me, when looking for our new home. We ended up getting the exact home I envisioned my husband and I living in, and in the neighborhood we wanted, too!  I have traced Sigils using water on my finger, on our dining room table to bless everyone at our table before a meal, and also on windows for protection in our home. I have also carved them into candles before burning them.  The ways you can use and create Sigils, are endless.  In this fun and informative class, you will learn about the history of Sigils, what you can use them for,  and several ways to create your own.  We will create Sigils, together, during class. Items you will need to bring to class:  white drawing paper, tracing paper, a pencil, ruler, compass, scissors, colored pencils or markers. Class is approximately 60 to 90 min. What is Candle Dressing? Candle Magick is a kind of alchemy. When you dress a candle with your intentions, oils, herbs, flower petals, and sigils, you’ll infuse it with your energy. In this class you will learn how to dress a candle for your spellwork, intentions, prayers (whichever verbiage you prefer to use), what the different candle colors can represent, different herb and flower magickal properties , different oil magickal properties, step by step ritual ideas and the meanings behind each step, and we will end our class with a ritual using our candles. Be prepared to bring a taper style candle, olive oil and any essential oils you may have, dried herbs and flower petals. a piece of tin foil or wax paper to place under your candle during class. a candle holder, and matches.
