Hand painted and stitched, this Rattle is made from Buffalo hide which was purchased from a Native American owned store, where every part of the animal is utilized. It is also trimmed with Deer hide so this rattle carries the medicine of Buffalo and Deer. Buffalo carries the medicine of abundance, kindness, manifesting our desires, bravery, and strength. Deer medicine represents unconditional love and is peaceful, beautiful, sensitive, and is a highly intuitive spirit guide. Every part of the creative process for my rattles are made through meditation and intention. Corn is the traditional filling for rattle and represents Mother Earth and her abundance.

First step in creating this rattle was to bathe the hide in an herbal cleansing bath to honor the Buffalo and Deer, and imbue with my intentions. Rattle is hand painted, with the ancient symbol of the Spiral, on one side,  and the Algiz Rune of protection and life, on the opposite side. The Spiral represents your awareness, evolution, and growth of your mind, body and spirit. After rattle was completed, it was then bathed overnight under the August, Super, Blue, Full Moon. Rattle is also adorned with silver and colored glass beads which represent the four colors of the Medicine Wheel, and is imbued with beautiful Reiki energy before being packed and shipped, to you. Rattles have been used for hundreds of years to achieve an altered state of mind, for shamanic journeying and healing ceremonies.
