Reiki with a Snake

This morning I met up with a little snake slithering in the grass near me so I decided to share Reiki with him. I never shared Reiki with a snake before but for some reason I felt a connection with him and I asked him if he would like to sit with me and meditate for few minutes.

I sat down next to him, and he stayed still and then lifted his head up and stayed that way for 15 -20 minutes or so . We sat together in silence, in a beautiful Reiki space.” I even chanted with him and I swear he was smiling! I posted this on my FB page, Inner Peace Reiki, and if you listen to the video you can hear how loud the birds were too as we shared Reiki. I love my yard and this time of year. I usually am afraid of snakes but the funny thing about this was I had practiced a meditation a few days earlier, bringing in the wise, ancient wisdom of the snake energy, which helps us go deep within ourselves for healing, and I didn't feel any fear or surprise when I saw this snake in my yard. Instead, I felt affection towards him as I would any other animal I meet, and wanted to create a beautiful space of Reiki healing energy with him. The snake energy is all about patience, wisdom, slowing down, and being present and I believe that's what he was there to remind me of on this day. I would have missed all the special moments I experienced today, with all the animals in my yard, if I did not meet up with my new friend
